My MA collection is inspired by by movement, specifically movement with cars.
As a kid I was obsessed with cars, I was fascinated by their looks. Growing up I spent a lot of time in them, travelling back and forth between my old home in Czech to a new home in Germany. I looked back at what cars meant to me, growing up travelling between countries. Cars mean much more than just objects of desire; they are vehicles that connect lives by moving through space and time. Cars are filled with emotions and memories, something I wish for my garments as well. It evolved into a collection focusing on contrasts between lightness and heaviness, strictness and movement.
Like cars, I want my silhouettes to appear heavy, but to reveal their lightness while in motion.
