DISCOVER THE STORIES BEHIND THE COLLECTIONS OF OUR MASTERS IN FASHION.
At EXPO2018 you get an interesting insight into the artistic process of the 9 master students, as well as pieces by 1st Bachelor students who created dresses inspired by ‘Antwerp Baroque 2018’. You can take a closer look at the silhouettes and explore each master’s collection in detail. Which results in a different perspective of these collections on the catwalk of the graduation show.
In former years, this part of the graduation show was reserved for an international jury of experts in fashion. As from 2015 the Academy decided to open this unique ‘view behind the scenes’ for the public. Due to MoMu Antwerp Fashion Museum’s current renovations -and highly anticipated 2020 reopening-, which touches the building housing the Fashion Department, the school will find a temporary haven inside the historical Antwerp landmark Handelsmuseum at the Coquilhatstraat, as of June 2018. Handelsmuseum formerly lodged the Department of Translators and Interpreters and is noted for its monumental neo-baroque façade.
There is no elevator available on the historical site. Therefore a part of the expo is not wheelchair proof.
